What's new

The latest news from the world of yatching.

A very impressive profile

Engineered for peak efficiency, the new 142 metre Dragonfly built in Germany from Lurssen in 2024 has a diesel-electric propulsion system and an electric Azimuth Pod Drive, which can operate independently in electric mode or in conjunction with other propulsion components to achieve maximum speed of 24 knots. It offers a gross tonnage of 9408.0 GT and a 20.0 m beam. The helideck is also laid with an amazing 600 square metres of Tesumo – a sustainable alternative to teak. Designed by famous naval architect German Frers (with Nauta Design for interiors), Dragonfly key highlights include a glass-bottom pool, a gym, a games room, and a beauty salon. This superyacht also features a bespoke, doublefolding stern platform that seamlessly connects the main deck with the beach club to create a spacious sea-level social area.

Ready for cruising

Designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, Project Agnetha’s exterior presents a sophisticated and contemporary profile. Horizontal lines accentuate the yacht’s length, while expansive, tinted glass panels on the main and upper decks maximise natural light and offer panoramic views. The distinctive “shark tooth” detail on the wheelhouse overhang adds a signature touch, and the removal of aft superstructure pillars enhances the indooroutdoor flow, providing uninterrupted ocean vistas from virtually every onboard location. The Fast Displacement hull coupled with two MTU 4000 engines, delivers a top speed of 15.5 knots and ensures stability in all sea conditions. This combination of low fuel consumption throughout the entire speed spectrum, the superior seakeeping and extreme reliability makes the 55m Dutch-built steel superyacht suitable for a range of cruising itineraries.

The british experience

With over 20 years’ experience in superyachts, the British shipyard offers a 120’ (36.60 m) unit with a sporty, modern design with luxurious interior features. Sunseeker’s signature styling shines through, setting it apart from other superyachts in its class with a large aft cockpit, impressive flybridge and breathtaking main deck owners stateroom. The flybridge offers a sensational retreat for owners and guests. The aft deck is thoughtfully conceptualised with loose furniture from recommended suppliers, including three sun loungers, a large sofa and four comfortable lounging chairs. At the center lies a dining table for twelve guests, serviced by a large wet bar and four bar stools. Sunseeker 120 Yacht offers sleeping accommodation for ten guests in a four-guest cabin configuration, each with an en suite, below deck and a private owner’s stateroom on the main deck. The elective materials assist in maximising the natural light on board.

Welcome to the future

Designed by Vripack, Lily is a new 101-metre yacht from Oceanco, presented at the Dubai Yacht Show. “Lily is a testament to what’s possible when design meets advanced construction and engineering,” says Paris Baloumis, Marketing Director. “It represents Oceanco’s drive to deliver a fully realisable yacht for an owner ready to embrace the future.” The general arrangement has been configured to provide intimate spaces to accommodate multiple groups of families and friends. The large leisure deck serves as the heart of onboard activity, featuring a pool, as well as a gym, wellness area, watersports gallery, bar and dining space. The split-level guest deck offers 6 cabins and an aft lounge. The upper deck offers 3 guest cabins, an open-plan cinema and a suspended playroom accessible via a bridge. Lily integrates a new propulsion system developed to achieve high propulsive efficiency, directly translating to lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions.

Inspired by the natural world

The fruit of a collaboration between naval architect Timur Bozca and the Oceanco shipyard, this super yacht is a reference to Greek mythology and embodies the spirit of the sea. Its exterior design is inspired by the sleek lines of the swordfish. Aurai is equipped with an all-electric propulsion system: a first for a yacht of this size, enabling her to sail without noise or vibration, with incomparable energy efficiency. Inside, refinement is total. Every detail has been thought out to bring serenity and comfort: noble materials, meticulous finishes and a layout that maximises natural light. Among its assets: a U-shaped swimming pool. Surrounded by glass walls and vegetation, it offers an unobstructed view of the sea and a relaxing, aesthetic immersion in the water. A second pool awaits guests on the foredeck. Other keypoint: this 80-metre yacht also features a helipad.

Spacious and elegant

The Gulf Craft Majesty 100 Terrace is a new 105-foot (32.25 m) motor yacht that boasts a sleek silhouette, refined elegance, and innovative design. With an impressive 199GT, it offers unparalleled space and stability, ensuring smooth cruising and superior fuel efficiency. The owner’s stateroom offers ultimate privacy with a private terrace and stunning 270-degree views, setting the stage for unforgettable onboard experiences. The upper deck features a luxurious sky lounge and wheelhouse, while the lower deck houses spacious, ensuite-equipped cabins. The sundeck includes a skylights, jacuzzi sunbeds and dining spaces, catering to those who crave an extra touch of luxury. With the twin MTU 12V2000M96L engines, the new Majesty 100 Terrace offers a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, with a range of 1,050 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Redefining interior spaces

Born from the collaboration with the Studio Zuccon International Project for the exterior design and architect Piero Lissoni for the interior design, the Sanlorenzo SP92 retains the speed and design features of the line: on one hand, offering a total of 4,000 HP with waterjet propulsion, and on the other, the possibility of customisation. The yacht’s aft area offers a nearly 45-square-meter beach area. The deck is even closer to the water, while the superstructure design has been optimised for the installation of solar panels, maximising available surface area without compromising the aesthetic profile. The large perimeter windows of the superstructure highlight the elegance of the interiors, expanding the space and maximising the connection with the outside. The large rear window provides access to the interior, which, in a completely new approach for a vessel of this kind, spans 4 levels.

The French touch

A renowned French naval architect and designer, Thomas Tison has built his career at the crossroads of technological innovation and top-level competition. A graduate of Southampton University in naval architecture, then Cranfield University in aeronautical engineering, Tison founded his own studio, Thomas Tison Yacht Design & Engineering, in 2014, and is now developing his own shipyard, based in Villefranche-sur-Mer, on the French Riviera. Here, he designs bespoke yachts, incorporating the latest structural advances and the most highperformance materials, without ever sacrificing clarity of design or architectural intent. Right from the start, his involvement with Mascalzone Latino for the 32nd America’s Cup forged a radical vision of design: combining extreme performance, aesthetic finesse and structural rigor. The America’s Cup has been a common thread running through his work ever since, a terrain for experimentation and a way of thinking that infuses all his projects. His recent creations assert a strong identity, nourished by Mediterranean culture: sober elegance, taut lines, light volumes and a constant dialogue between craftsmanship and innovation. Among his flagship projects, you could find Elida: a 15-metre sailboat combining a wooden hull with a carbon deck. Elida has been selected to represent Germany at the next Admiral’s Cup, confirming its status as a top-level regatta boat. Also in his plans, L’Été, a 12-metre daysailer designed for intuitive, elegant sailing. Recently, Thomas Tison was the architect responsible for building the boat for the British INEOS team, which competed in the last America’s Cup in Barcelona and won the Louis Vuitton Cup.

Power of inspiration

At the latest Monaco Yacht Show, Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, a famous Dutch design studio, has unveiled a 138 metre superyacht concept focused on the Power of Inspiration. “Inspire” and its integrated, bold design combines inspiring yachting with an unprecedented hospitality experience. Inspire’s exterior is created using bold architectural lines, forming a 3D statement of elegant curves and strength. The light bluegreen shade of the hull color enables the yacht to blend naturally with the seas and skies. This effect is strengthened by floor-to-ceiling glass façades, multiple hatches, al-fresco lounges and shaded exterior decks, where unobstructed views of the water and skies provide true inspiration. The superyacht consists of six decks: a top deck fully dedicated to the owner (offering a vast 250 sqm of living space including a bathroom with full beam vanity, two dressing areas and a private lounge), an upper deck with a giant lounge and open-plan wheelhouse to share the sailing experience, a main deck with guest cabins, restaurant and central staircase lobby, a beach deck containing VIP cabins, a wellness center, swimming platform, spacious beach lounge with a blue hole pool as well as generous spaces for inspirational events. At the lowest deck there is a submersible observation room (approximately 5-metre below the sea’s surface) delivering an uninterrupted view of the ocean below. Cruising at 11 knots against a top speed of 16.5 knots, Inspire will offer a range of 3,750 nautical miles.
